Russell L. Dewell  -   Pastor

Pastor Russ was the Interim Pastor beginning July 2, 2007. He replaced Pastor David Easterday upon his call and departure to Trinity, Crown Point, Indiana. Russ was ordained at Trinity June 2, 2007.  Trinity called Pastor Russ to be the full time pastor and he was installed on September 22, 2007. He attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, graduating May 18, 2007. He served the U.S. Army before attending seminary with the intent of becoming a chaplain. The Army accepted him as a chaplain June 19, 2007. He serves part-time in the Indiana Army National Guard. Pastor Russ was called to active duty in June 2008 and deployed in August 2008 to Afganistan.

Pastor Russ and his wife, Gerlinde, have 5 children. He enjoys staying in shape for Army duty by running, and working out with weights and yoga. He is the Chaplain of his youngest son's Boy Scout Troop #411 of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and as such enjoys camping, campfires, and Smores! 

Larry Hencye is our Director of Child and Family Ministries here at Trinity. Larry has a bachelors and masters degree in education from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. He served as a teacher and athletic director in Michigan and Colorado from 1973-1978, a Principle in Colorado and Texas from 1979-1990, and a youth minister at Holy Cross in Ft.Wayne from 1990-2003 before coming to Trinity.

Janice has an early childhood associate degree from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, Wisconsin. She had worked four years in classrooms as an aide or assistant preparing projects and supervising activities. Janice began teaching the 4 year old program in the fall of 2006 at Trinity.
